The scope of the East Asian Studies course encompasses Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Korea. Students can focus on the political, social, or diplomatic issues of these areas, as well as language study, Literature, history, religion　and culture of their particular area of interest. Under the guidance of several teaching staffs, students develop their thesis through seminar work and by reading widely in East Asian sources.
