Mission

This program aims to strengthen the teaching capacity of faculty members from Central Asian universities. After graduation, it is expected that our students will teach and supervise research in disciplines related to their studies in educational and research institutions in their home countries. In addition, it is expected that graduates will not only play the roles of educators in their institutions but that they will also assume leading roles in collaborative research and exchanges between Japanese universities and their Central Asian counterparts. It is also assumed that program graduates will have an opportunity to benefit from follow-up activities, including advanced educational activities and participation in international conferences. The University of Tsukuba Collaboration Center, established on the premises of the Tashkent University of Oriental Studies, is set to become a center for the administration of these follow-up activities for program graduates.
